Crashed plane too real to remain

Middlepoint property owner Steve Willgoose mounted a crashed plane in a tree 60 feet above the ground as “something fun for locals to look at” and to “shock the tourists a bit, too.”

The plane, formerly used as a prop in the movie Alaska, had to come down after two hours, however, because it was causing a traffic jam on the highway, with people stopping with their smartphones in hand and some even calling 911, Willgoose said.

“I guess the crash was just a bit too real looking,” he said. “We’ll do something else with it instead. But this time nice and far away from the drivers passing by asking us if there were any survivors.”
