As 38 Cops for Cancer riders prepare to undertake nearly 900 kilometres on bike, BC Ferries announced which sailings the riders will be taking.

Along their Tour de Coast journey, the riders and their 20 crew plus support vehicles will be sailing for free, courtesy of BC Ferries. On Sept. 22, they'll take the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale crossing at 7:30 a.m. The next day, they'll leave Earls Cove for Saltery Bay at 8:25 a.m. On Sept. 24 the return lap includes a sailing from Saltery Bay to Earls Cove at 9:25 a.m., then from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay at 1:15 p.m.

This schedule can help supporters anticipate when the riders will be on the road, allowing travel considerations and a chance to cheer them on during their nine-day mission.

Two Sunshine Coast officers, Const. Patrick Fox and Const. Chris Mager will be part of the group, as they aim to raise funds for childhood cancer research and supportive services at the Canadian Cancer Society. As of Sept. 21, Mager has raised $4,307 and Fox has raised $2,577.86.
