Coast Reporter has been nominated in three categories for this year’s British Columbia and Yukon Community Newspaper Awards (BCYCNA).
For the eighth year in a row, Coast Reporter is a finalist for general excellence as top newspaper in its circulation class. Other nominees are Oak Bay News and Pique News Magazine.
In individual awards, graphic designer Ashley Doyle is nominated for best collaborative ad design for her Elite Travel ad, “Wish You Were Here.”
And for the 11th consecutive year, Coast Reporter is nominated for best classifieds section, with the nod going to Shelley Alleyne, Kelly Shvartsman, Heather Till and Dimitri Shvartsman.
The awards ceremony will be held May 7 at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond.
