Royal Canadian Air Cadets from 858 Skookumchuck Squadron held their Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) at Elphinstone Secondary on Sunday, June 3. Twenty-three cadets were reviewed by Major Tim Alguire. A number of dignitaries were also present, including Richard Taylor, Air Cadet League of Canada, British Columbia Provincial Committee Representative; Major Linda Hildebrandt, Regional Cadet Support Unit Representative (Pacific Region); Nicholas Simons, MLA Sunshine Coast-Powell River; Gibsons Mayor Wayne Rowe; and Sechelt Mayor Bruce Milne. Army Cadets from 2963 Seaforth Highlanders held their 40th ACR on June 2 at the Chatelech Secondary School. ACRs provide an opportunity for cadets to demonstrate what they’ve learned in the year as well as receive acknowledgment for their accomplishments.
