Artists put the finishing touches on the 20th version of the Roberts Creek community mandala on Saturday, July 22.
The following day, the completed community art project was celebrated at MannaFest with dancing and drumming.
Pictured in front of the mandala holding his young son is Robert Marion, the artist who has envisioned the basic design of every year’s mandala since its inception. This year’s concept was a woven maple leaf, symbolizing the inter-connected relationship between peoples of Canada.
