The Sunshine Coast music scene is particularly blessed with some very fine wind players, who will be showcased on Sunday, April 25, at Gibsons Heritage Playhouse at 7:30 p.m. The Sunshine Coast Community Orchestra Association features the SunCoast Concert Band, along with Coast Symphony Orchestra and the Tuesday Chamber Players. Under director Lyle Carter, the band will perform a varied selection featuring such fine players as trumpeter Neil Andrews, clarinetist Yvonne Mounsey and flutist Maija Lund. Audiences will hear rousing Sousa, jazzy W.C. Handy and lyrical Rimsky-Korsakoff from this terrific ensemble.

The Symphony, under director Joe Hatherill, will perform Mozart, Bizet and, for a complete change of pace, some Harry Potter.

Come out for a great evening of entertainment. Tickets are $5, available at Talewind Books, Coast Books or at the door.
