Hoping to encourage a bit of spontaneous performance art, the Sechelt Arts Festival (Oct. 8-24) has posted “Silly Walks” signs at crosswalks outside the Sechelt library. The Silly Walks trope harkens back to skits made famous by John Cleese of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Passerby, artist, and good sport Kevin McEvoy was encouraged to give it a shot and found that lifting that right leg straight out is just as hard as it looks.
