The ninth annual Pender Harbour Rotary Art Auction at the Garden Bay Pub this Saturday is by far the single largest fundraiser for this small club.
Proceeds from the auction allow the club to fund or assist in funding local and international projects, whether computers for local students or the eradication of polio in the world.
At 5:30 p.m. the auction opens for viewing and at 6 p.m. the silent auction begins with bids ending at 8, immediately followed by the live auction. Most items in the live auction have no minimum bid, and astute bidders have been known to walk away with exceptional bargains on original art, signed prints, pottery, jewellery, wood carving and turning, glass sculptures and more. Come early and view the art of 30 or more artists and hundreds of items. Call 604-883-2674 or see www.gardenbaypub.com for more.
