Sunday, Nov. 7, was an occasion for some local film folks to strut their stuff on the proverbial red carpet at a Heritage Playhouse screening of A Visit to Spoon River, by the Driftwood Players. The film (now on YouTube) features a series of quaint monologues by fictional characters in the early 1900s. Johanne Proulx, left, played Russian Sonya, while Mac Dodge played the nameless narrator and co-directed the film. The event was also a fundraiser for Grandmothers and Grand Others charity.
