The Coast Academy of Dance would like to congratulate their dancers on their latest success in competitions and festivals in the Lower Mainland.
Ten of their senior dancers attended Dance Power in Burnaby and Shine Dance Festival in North Vancouver and came home with fantastic results.
Emilie Bland's solo received high gold and platinum, winning her category. She also earned adjudicators' choice at the local festival held at the Heritage Theatre.
Duets done by Emilie and Becky Izad, Michelle Millican and Baylee Higgins also had great feedback. They accumulated two silvers and two golds with Michelle and Baylee earning adjudicators' choice in the Shine Dance Festival.
The dancers' pieces included tap, hip hop and novelty, winning two silvers and three golds.
These dancers will all be performing in the Coast Academy's year-end performance taking place June 11 and 12 at the Raven's Cry Theatre in Sechelt.
