Film Society presents magical film

The Sunshine Coast Film Society has been bringing top quality, often hard to find documentary films to the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse for several years.

The Sunshine Coast Film Society has been bringing top quality, often hard to find documentary films to the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse for several years.

Their next event on April 6, The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam, will be a delight for the whole family, combining magic and animation to tell the story of this fascinating vaudevillian.

The Film Society's recent screenings at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt for the Queen of the Gypsies and Wildness provided a great opportunity for Sechelt residents to see these amazing documentaries in their home community. The society would be pleased to explore the possibility of bringing more of these extraordinary films to Sechelt if there is sufficient interest. Anyone interested in forming a volunteer ad hoc committee to assist the Film Society in developing a Sechelt connection can contact Francine at f_lucas@uniserve.com.
