Get up close with elephants and other African wildlife on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Pender Harbour Secondary School, presented by Dana Jantzen.

Pender Harbour and District Wildlife Society presents Dana Jantzen’s A Visit to South Africa and Masai Mara, Kenya, Tuesday, Oct. 17, 7 p.m. at Pender Harbour Secondary School.

Jantzen will be our tour guide through an exciting African safari in Pilanesberg National Park, northwest South Africa, and Masai Mara Reserve, Kenya. These areas are rich in both big and small wildlife, from the mighty, gentle elephant and temperamental hippos, to the bright yellow basket weaver finches. We will wind our way through tall grasses to find the elusive cheetah and enjoy a lake side tail gate lunch with cheeky primates.

Jantzen featured her adventures with gorillas last year – come continue adventuring with her with views and stories of fascinating African animals, including an encounter with a lion, up close and personal.

Jantzen is president of JantzenHorn Business Consultants, which spearheaded virtual network design locally and internationally. Home-baked refreshments will be served. Free. Updates at penderharbourwildlife.com.
