Driftwood Players are looking for a few players for their upcoming spring production. An open audition call has been set for Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 6 to 7) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Heritage Playhouse.

Driftwood is looking for three women aged 25 to 65 and five men aged 30 to 65 for Kico Gonzales-Risso's play Wonderville, an uproarious farce based in Canada's North.

The play will be directed by Barbara McColl and produced by Bill Forst. It will run March 8 to 25.

When the Northern Minister visits the town of Wonderville, he finds that, despite receiving millions in government grants, the entire population seems to consist of two elderly people. When a native land claims activist, a U.S. senator and a lost CBC crew arrive on the scene, a hilarious scandal and a desperate cover-up begin.

Driftwood is looking for characters with pomposity, chicanery and fun with Canadian accents. Help is also needed for all aspects of the production: set construction, props, costumes, stage hands, advertising and sponsorship. Call McColl at 604-886-3220 or Forst at 604-886-3543 for further information.
