Around the world in 80 minutes

Travel around the world in music and images with your Coast Symphony Orchestra.

Travel around the world in music and images with your Coast Symphony Orchestra.

On May 28 and 29, the Sechelt Indian Band Hall will be transformed into a multi-media theatre experience, where you -our passengers -will travel from Canada, via the United States, England, Finland and Eurasia to Korea. After a brief stop for refuelling, your trip will return to the New World - the great expanse of prairies, mountains and rivers known as North America.

Along the way, your chief steward Alec Tebbutt will tell you interesting facts about the countries you will visit, and your ears will be filled with music celebrating each country while your eyes feast on giant images of the people and landscape of your journey.

Don't miss this incredible "first" for the Sunshine Coast. Purchase your ticket early, as seating on the flights is limited. Come for your pre-flight orientation with the orchestra's artistic director and conductor, Edette Gagné, 30 minutes prior to departure, and then stow your hand luggage and get ready for the trip of a lifetime.

Doors open on May 28 at 6:45 p.m. with the pre-concert chat at 7 and the flight at 7:30. On May 29, doors open at 12:45 p.m., the pre-concert chat is at 1:30 and the flight departs at 2 p.m.
