This group of volunteers preformed needed trail repairs on the Colvin Creek Trail in Sargeant Bay Provincial Park.

In total there were 13 volunteers, seven from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and six from the Sargeant Bay Society.

Over a three-hour span, volunteers installed seven new culverts on the trail. They hauled in over a cubic metre of fill by small trailer and then by bucket and wheelbarrow. Their efforts will go a long way to making the trail less prone to flooding during the winter months.

The volunteer effort was made possible, in part, by the RBC Blue Water Project, which is an integrated program of grants, sponsorships, employee volunteerism and leadership activities meant to help protect water and build the RBC brand globally.

RBC also gave $1,000 in funding to the Colvin Creek Trail project.
