The Baris Foundation is pleased to announce Emily Stoddart is the first recipient of the Baris Charitable Foundation’s $500 Dance Discipline Scholarship.
Emily has impressed the judges with her dedication to dance and her overall work ethic outside her craft. She is a high achiever academically, a well-rounded athlete and a good worker adored by her teachers, peers, younger students, employers and parents inside and out of the dance community.
She is destined to have a bright future. Congratulations, Emily!
In the upcoming dance school year, the Dance Discipline Scholarship will be open to all dancers entering grades 10, 11 and 12 from dance schools from Gibsons to Pender Harbour. This is a year-long discipline interview of sorts. The Sunshine Coast Dance Society’s scholarship audition (any genre) next year will also be sponsored separately by the Foundation.
The Baris Charitable Foundation supports a new generation of leaders who continually display outstanding character on and off stage.
