The Pender Harbour Sparks (youngest members of Girl Guides of Canada), during a walk from the elementary school to Lily Lake, commented on how much rubbish they saw along the way, and decided they wanted to do the litter pickup as their last meeting activity before the summer break. They collected six grocery bags of rubbish on their walk, and the leaders are so proud of them for their hard work, community spirit and caring for their world.
