The Sunshine Coast Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society has extended the deadline for its poster contest to Aug. 10.
The contest is open to anyone 18 and under and the prizes include telescopes for winners in the nine and under and 10 to 18 categories.
The poster should promote astronomy and the night sky on the Sunshine Coast.
They can be designed using any medium: paint, ink, felts, collage, photos, etc., on paper, canvas or poster card – the sky is the limit.
Prizes will be awarded at the Starlight Coast Party on Aug. 20 at the RASC Observatory at Sechelt Airport.
