The second annual Pender Harbour Days brought roughly 1,000 people to Madeira Park this year over the weekend of July 8 to 10.
There were contests for log sawing and oyster shucking, beautiful wooden sailboats, a hard hat diving demonstration, a petting zoo, pony rides and a lot more. This year the activities were all held in the same area, which festival co-chairs Bill and Lyn Charlton said was a big improvement over last year when things were more spread out.
