Harbour Highlights: Don’t miss the Halloween fun

Pender Harbour Volunteer Firefighters will host a fireworks display on Halloween Night starting at 7:30 p.m. at Seafarer's Millennium Park.

The 10th annual Pender Harbour Blues Society Halloween Howl Dance Party and Costume Extravaganza is an event you don't want to miss this Saturday, Oct. 27. Doors open at 8 p.m. at the PH Community Hall. Tickets available at www.phblues.ca 

Egmont's Monster Mash Halloween Party the same night gets rocking at 6 p.m. at the Tavern of Horrors (aka the Backeddy). There is a huge prize for best costume. 

Sunday, the Sunshine Coast BCSPCA Halloween Party is all about family fun and games. Get into your best costume and get into the pumpkin patch at Persephone Farm, 1 to 3 p.m. Do some creative carving and play trick or treat all about animal facts. $10 suggested donation with all proceeds going to the local SPCA shelter. 

Halloween Night is the big fireworks show starting at 7:30 p.m. at Seafarer's Millennium Park brought to you by the Pender Harbour Volunteer Firefighters There will be entertainment, hot dogs, hot drinks and a bonfire. Please support this event and buy a raffle ticket or two. 

Harbourside Friendship meets Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the PH Hall. There will be a presentation on ways to keep your physical and mental health in top form. Lunch is served at noon. Drop in $10. 

The Pender Harbour Garden Club is pleased to welcome the three founders of Botanus.com Monday, Nov. 5, 1 p.m. at the School of Music. Elke, Pam and Wendy achieved their goal, successfully establishing a mail-order company and have now gone above and beyond providing an online garden club at botanus.com. Their bright and lively presentation will be Fall in Love with Unusuals. The women will also have lots of bulbs to sell. There will be a raffle and refreshments. Drop in $5, annual membership is $15.
