Only a month away, the 20th Pender Harbour Jazz Festival runs Sept. 16 to 18. Presented by the Pender Harbour Music Society, Jazz Fest will once again bring world class jazz to town. Two Canadian icons, Bill Coon and Oliver Gannon – Two Much Guitars – will headline. Juno-nominated Jaclyn Guillon will perform her tribute to Dinah Washington, This Bitter Earth. Further into the coming week, Harbourside Friendship welcomes guest speaker Sharon Halford on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hall.

Seniors Initiative has arranged a bus trip to Gibsons to enjoy Music in the Landing on Saturday, Aug. 27. Departure from the Hall is 10 a.m., returning approximately 3 p.m. Cost is $10 plus lunch.

BCSPCA Paws for a Cause is Sunday, Sept. 11 at Hackett Park in Sechelt. I invite everyone to come and enjoy this fabulous fun-filled day. Registration is 11 a.m. and the walk at noon. Join our vendors village. Book your space with me for just $25!
