Summer in the Harbour brings us special shopping experiences. Friday Madeira Market is a gathering of talented local artisans and bakers, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Community Hall gardens. Just off Highway 101 is the beautiful farm stand on Dubois Road. The bountiful offerings change daily with the freshest local organic produce, eggs and delicious creative preserves from Laughlin Farm and other contributing growers.
Seniors Initiatives this coming week: the Walking Group will head off from the Community Hall at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, is carpet bowling. Wednesday, July 27, 1 to 3 p.m., Harbourside Friendship will welcome Maureen Wright from the Hiking Group, 10:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon for $10 at the Hall.
Pender Harbour Cham-ber Music Festival is summertime musical pleasure. This season there are six fantastic concerts Aug. 18 through 21. Afternoon concerts start at 1:30 p.m. and evening concerts at 7 p.m. Visit the Festival’s website at www.penderharbourmusic.ca for details.
