Always a fabulous event, the Rotary Club of Pender Harbour Art Auction is this Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Legion in Madeira Park; starting at 5 p.m. Enjoy tapas with a glass of bubbly as you peruse the dazzling works of art and place your bids at the silent auction. The exciting live auction gets underway at 8 p.m. Tickets are $2 at the Legion or from any PH Rotarian.
Pender Harbour Garden Club will present Bill Terry with Letting Nature Play Her Part: Simplicity and Serendipity in the Garden at the School of Music this Monday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. This talk is somewhat radical and tongue-in-cheek. It imagines the gardener enlisting nature as a partner then working in collaboration. Bill Terry is a legendary Sunshine Coast gardener, a retired CBC producer, a TV and radio program executive and the author of four books.

The Seniors Initiative Group is very active once again this week. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, they will be walking Madeira Park. Meet at the Hall at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Harbourside Friendship will be at Health Fair Day. Friday, Nov. 13 is 55+ yoga at 9 a.m. and chair yoga at 10:30 a.m. Drop-in fee is $2.
The Pender Harbour Community School has a multitude of courses and activities this fall season. Harbour Ukulele Group Strummers (HUGS) meet Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Community School. All ages and levels are welcome. Emergency First Aid is Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the pool. Registration is required.
Drop In Sports: Mondays - Court Sports with Carol Goulette, 7 to 9 p.m. at PHSS Gym, for ages 12 and up. Tuesdays - Soccer with Mr. Mo. 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at PHSS Gym, for ages 12 and up. Wednesdays - Pickleball 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at PHSS Gym, all ages.
There is a special community meeting Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 4:30 p.m. to discuss food needs and solutions for our community.

The Coffee House on Friday, Nov. 13, will feature two Sunshine Coast artists and two visiting from the Lower Mainland, all wonderful musicians. Doors open at 7 p.m. for coffee, tea and dessert at the School of Music cabaret-style waterfront theatre. The musical entertainment, showcased with professional sound and lights, starts at 7:30 p.m. This show is just the thing to cheer up a November evening!
