Halfmoon Bay Country Fair sockeye salmon dinner and dance on Saturday had Playback rocking the Coopers Green Park. There were lots of residents and visitors who took advantage of the dinner only as the dinner/dance tickets sold out early in the week.
The 51st Annual Halfmoon Bay Country Fair was a huge community success. The atmosphere was super charged with superheroes. There were very talented local musicians on the centre stage sponsored by Sunshine Coast Credit Union. The Park was decorated with banners and festivities included the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary’s pancake breakfast, the 3.5 mile run, pony rides, bingo and lots of fun and games for everyone.
There are lots of photos at Halfmoon Bay Community Association’s Facebook page and in the online galleries at www.coastreporter.net
A big thank you to the Halfmoon Bay Community Association board of directors who work so hard to put this together along with support from all Halfmoon Bay clubs, societies, childcare, school, the Volunteer Fire Department, Half-moon Bay branch of Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary and to all the volunteers who make the Fair such a wonderful community event along with the donors and businesses that support it.
A special thanks to the Handy Husband’s staff who gave their time freely to help wherever it was required – real superheros.
The Fair takes over 1,000 volunteer hours that are given lovingly and that reflect our community. If you are interested in joining for next year’s Fair, please contact [email protected].
Halfmoon Bay is a very nice place to live and raise a family!
