Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary Halfmoon Bay branch is having its annual garden tours on June 11 and 12. Tickets are $15 at the Thrift Store in Sechelt, Ann-Lynn Flowers and Gifts, Sechelt Visitor Centre and from any Auxiliary member.

The next Auxiliary meeting will be held on Monday, June 13 at Coopers Green at 10:30 a.m., the last meeting until September.

Gary Little will be giving a presentation on the Early History of Halfmoon Bay, July 6, as part of the 50th anniversary of Halfmoon Bay Country Fair. Little is an occasional instructor for courses at Capilano University and for the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives. There will be limited seating by donation; please send confirmation if you would like to attend ([email protected] or 604-885-5034).

Relive the 1960s at Coopers Green on July 10. This is the theme of the 50th anniversary of Halfmoon Bay Country Fair. Get your costume ready and get the most out of this year’s Fair. There will be prizes for individual costumes and best 1960s family.

Halfmoon Bay Community Association will present the 50th annual Country Fair dinner and dance on July 9. The evening includes a salmon barbecue and live music with Poppa Greg and the Chillin’ Dylans (blues, rock and 1960s funk). Tickets are available at Welcome Woods Market, Halfmoon Bay General Store and Pastimes in Sechelt.
