Roberts Creek Library news: A special thank you to all those who bought books at the Earth Day book sale. Despite the damp weather, it was a great success! There is also a daily book sale table in the library if you missed the Earth Day sale. Come in and admire the new fresh look for spring.

This Friday, May 5 at 7:45 p.m. the Roberts Creek Legion is offering Trivia Night with quizmaster Gary Little. Great prizes for only $5 per person. Maximum teams of five, please. Guests are welcome.
Sunshine Coast Roller Girls are having a fundraiser night at the Legion on Saturday, May 6, a dress up costume fundraiser. The event will feature DJs Cronneloctopus and The Funkdealer and special guest MC Christ Ratpastor. There will be prizes for best costumes, a roller derby demo and a raffle. Members $7, guests $14.
Come and enjoy Blue Moon Marquee and the Burying Ground live at the Gumboot Café, Saturday, May 6. This group features 1920 - 1930 country blues, swing, ragtime and jazz. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music at 8 p.m. Cover charge is $10 to 30 on a sliding scale, at the door.
Trivia and Tunes is on Saturday, May 6 at the Roberts Creek Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m. with trivia 7:30 to 9 p.m. and live music 9 to 11 p.m. There will be a silent auction and cash bar. This adults-only event is a fundraiser for the Roberts Creek Elementary School PAC.
Roberts Creek Branch of the SC Healthcare Auxiliary is meeting Tuesday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the Little Legion. May 10 is Auxiliary Day so look for members at the table in front of the Library from noon to 4 p.m. with information – and cookies!
Slow Sundays is hosting an all ages dance for Mother’s Day at the Roberts Creek Hall on Sunday, May 14, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Admission is by donation, a fundraiser for Slow Sundays in the Creek, that will begin in June.
Coming next week, a garage sale at the Masonic Hall for the Suncoast Phoenix Community Choir; a burlesque showcase at Roberts Creek Legion; and a Rogue Arts Festival fundraiser at Roberts Creek Hall – all to be held on May 13. More details next week.
