The library’s monthly book sale will be held this Saturday, July 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday July 3 from 10 a.m. to noon. Check out the shelves for current best sellers Dark Money and 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl. The newest books are Annie Proulx’s Barkskins and The High Mountains of Portugal by Yann Martell, as well as many other new releases. See you there!

Slow Sundays in the Creek continues this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This includes games, music and the Heart of the Creek Market. For more information, call 604-886-2417 and Graham will be glad to fill you in.

A reminder to catch Made in Canada, a new show featuring Canadian music and comedy with a touch of the Coast thrown in for good fun. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 1 and 2, with a 1 p.m. matinée on Sunday, July 3. Tickets are $15 at the Roberts Creek General Store.

The Foggy Hogtown Boys present Carters and Cash, a concert in tribute to the music of the Carter Family and Johnny Cash in their unique bluegrass and old-time music style. The performance is Tuesday, July 5 at 8 p.m. at Roberts Creek Hall. Tickets at the door or in advance at foggyhogtownboys.com

See you on Canada Day in Sechelt from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. The Lions Club hosts a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. in Gilligan’s parking lot. Parade begins at 10:30 with fun all afternoon at Hackett Park, a beer festival downtown with lots of music, free activity, and great food. End the day with a concert at 8 p.m. at the Rotary Friendship Park with fireworks at 10 p.m. by the Trail Bay pier. Check out www.secheltdowntown.com
