Thanks to all who organized the annual Christmas potluck dinner. Reports have it that the event had lots of food, fellowship and everyone had a great time.

The folks at the library are now ready with a terrific selection of books for everyone to read and enjoy, so drop in and stock up for your reading pleasure. Library hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The next meeting for the Roberts Creek Branch of St. Mary's Hospital/Health Care Auxiliary is Monday, Jan. 10 at 10:30 a.m. New members are welcome. Call Rene at 604-885-3819 for more details.

Black Cat Cinema presents Consuming Kids: The Commercialization of Childhood at the Creek Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $8 at the door. Call 604-886-2780 or email [email protected] for more details.

This winter has been particularly hard for many families.

The Salvation Army Food bank has been overwhelmed with those who are in need. To make sure that everyone has something to eat, they would appreciate it if you would be able to donate food staples such as macaroni, canned soups, vegetables, jams etc. You may drop off at the Salvation Army Harvest of Hope.
