The Sunshine Coast Foundation is now accepting applicants for the Philanthropy for the 3rd Millennium program. The program, which will launch April 15, is aimed at younger workers and community leaders, approximately 25 to 50 years old.

“Its goal is to help them understand the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the Sunshine Coast, the role of philanthropy and the Sunshine Coast Foundation, and how they can make a positive difference where they live,” the foundation said in a news release.

The program will take place through a series of Zoom events or in-person meetings when permitted.

“Participants will learn how, with a very minimal investment, they can become philanthropists, making a real difference and helping to create a future where everyone in our community is nurtured and supported,” the foundation said.

There is no cost to participate in the program, which received supported from the Vancouver Foundation. For more information, contact the foundation at 604-741-7360, email ED@sunshinecoastfoundation.org or visit www.sunshinecoastfoundation.org and click on “Make a Gift.”
