Gibsons, Halfmoon Bay and Sechelt firefighters raised $3,888 at a barbecue on May 21, which was donated to the firefighters in Fort McMurray.
“We’re supporting our brothers and sisters just like they would for us,” Sechelt auxiliary firefighter Brenda Poole said.
All of the food was donated by Your Independent Grocer, and the barbecues were donated by Rent-It! Canada and Sechelt Fireplace and Gas Centre.
