On Nov. 3, the Sunshine Coast Lions Club president, Bill Conway, presented a cheque for $1500 to the Sechelt Food Bank director, Chris Hergesheimer and Aenny Nagel, operations manager. This money was raised at a number of community fundraising activities held though the summer. “We know,” says Bill, “that these funds will go directly to those who are in the greatest need.”
In conjunction with the cheque, we also gave the Food Bank $500 in Clayton’s gift certificates, which had been donated by our very generous supporters from the weekly No Meat Draw held at the Lighthouse Pub from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
