Hundreds came to enjoy the annual West Sechelt Elementary School Carnival on June 16 where participants slid down huge blow-up slides, raced in giant hamster balls, tried their luck on the Wipeout game and challenged friends in the reverse bungee race. Carnival goers also enjoyed several other giant blowups brought in from the city, a cake walk, carnival games to win prizes, face painting, a crazy hair booth, balloon animals, raffles, a barbecue, snow cones and cotton candy.
The annual fundraiser for the West Sechelt Elementary School PAC raised over $5,000 and all of the funds will help fill needs identified at the school next year.
