Here's your chance to meet and greet your neighbours, show off your art or Sandy Hook-based business, take a boat ride on the Inlet, enjoy a picnic, sell those things in your garage, entertain your kids or grandkids, and listen to a live DJ and live music. The whole community is invited to Sandy Hook Day this Sunday, July 21.
From 9 a.m. to noon there will be a community yard sale. Please look for the participating homes with balloons. Also from 9 a.m. to noon there will be a community showcase featuring art, small business and an open house.
From noon to 4 p.m. there will be a picnic at Sandy Hook Park (the boat launch and beach area with picnic food and beverages, kids' games and contests, a live DJ and live music. Plus, new this year, Mermaid Boat Tours will be offering trips up the Inlet.
