The 23rd annual Davis Bay sand castle competition will be held on Sunday, July 3 this year to maximize the tide schedule – and the Sunshine Coast Lions Club has come forward to be the host sponsor.
Registration is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Building begins after a brief opening announcement, and is to be completed by 1:30 p.m. Judging takes place from 1:30 to 2 p.m. with awards to follow. There will be youth, adult and family categories. Registration fee is $10.
There will be food concessions, T-shirts for sale, and live music by Jim Taylor, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
