Kisses and Kicks: Kicks for recycling thieves, kisses to Terry Fox run volunteers

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of September 29!

  • Kisses to Heidelberg Materials for hosting a better-than-ever Community Open House. Food, fun and education for the whole family. Thank you!
  • Kisses to pop up volunteers Tracey and Margaret who helped out at the Terry Fox Run. Your contribution added so much of Terry Fox’s spirit to this successful event – 55 participants and $4,000 in on site donations to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.
  • Grateful kisses to Regan, the young trainee at London Drugs photo department. Regan, you went the extra mile in providing mature support and service. I hope you go far in your career and life.
  • Heavenly Blessings to the wonderful staff at Cowrie Medical Clinic, Pharmasave staff, close family and friends who supported me in the past five months. Please keep an eye on Hugh and I will keep watch over all of you. Merci, Aloha!
  • 55 Kisses and Hugs to the woman who shared my life for so many years. I hope your future is a happy one. GHM.
  • Ferry boat full of kisses for those on the Sunshine Coast who were able to attend the Southern Sunshine Coast Ferry Advisory Committee (SSCFAC) meeting this week. We appreciate the community support for our advocacy work for better ferry service.  SSCFAC
  • Big smooch to Mama Phil for rescuing our damsel in distress when she left her shift at the mill to find a totally flat tire!
  • Kicks to the stores that don’t have the sale items they advertise and will not give a rain check for same.
  • Kicks to the place that charges you a dollar for a glass of water after you buy your meal from them.
  • Rainy grateful kisses to the wildfire fighters keeping us safe repeatedly all summer – from some upper Roberts Creek residents!
  • Kicks to whoever is stealing the sorted recycling in Gibsons. Volunteers work hard sorting to provide funds for families in need. Please stop.
  • Kisses to all the people who donate bottles and cans in Gibsons for Habitat, it means a lot to many families.
