Quilts on show: giant works of art

Members of the Sunshine Coast Quilters’ Guild showed their stuff May 11 and 12, packing the floor of the arena at Gibsons Community Centre with quilts of all shapes, colours and sizes. More than 235 quilts, all by local crafters, were on display. They included youth quilts and displays by the guild’s satellite groups and the Comfort Society, who supply charity quilts to all babies born on the Coast and raffle quilts to other charities to help raise funds for the community.
