Capilano University seeks mural artists

Capilano University is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. As one of its commemorative activities, the University has teamed up with the Vancouver Mural Festival to transform the main east-facing exterior wall of kálax-ay, the Sunshine Coast campus, into a full-colour painted mural. The mural will welcome students and the community to the Sunshine Coast campus and serve as a lasting legacy of the University’s 50th anniversary.

Capilano University welcomes experienced mural artists interested in this commission to apply and submit links to a portfolio of their work. The successful artist will have mural experience, be a resident of the Sunshine Coast and available to paint between October 9 and 19, 2018. Applications are due by Sept. 16 at 5 p.m.
