Despite the severely detrimental impact of the novel coronavirus on business operations, the Sechelt Legion donated $7,500 from its charitable arm this holiday season.

Despite the severely detrimental impact of the novel coronavirus on business operations, the Sechelt Legion donated $7,500 from its charitable arm this holiday season. Pictured is Sechelt Legion president Bill McLean (left) providing a cheque for $2,500 to Carey Rumba from the Sechelt Food Bank while 1st vice president Damien Wallbank looks on. In a separate presentation, McLean provided a cheque for $2,500 to Darrell Pilgrim from the Salvation Army. Another $2,500 has been earmarked for the Sunshine Coast Elves Club. The Sechelt Legion is accepting donations from individuals and businesses for its New Building Fund. For every dollar received up to $50,000, the Sechelt Legion has committed to donate the same value to community charitable organizations.
