Gibsons Legion hosts motorcycles for Community Day

On Saturday, June 22, Gibsons Legion is hosting the second annual Show and Shine and Poker Run for Motorcycles. This is also being incorporated with an Open House Community Day and everyone is invited to come by and see the motorcycles.

The day starts off with a free pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m.

Following the breakfast, the public will have an opportunity to check out the display of motorcycles before they depart for the Poker Run at 12:30 p.m. to Madeira Park Legion, John Henry Marina and Resort, Garden Bay, Sechelt Legion, Davis Bay Pier then back to the Legion for the presentation of awards. 

During the day, the public will be welcomed in to see the Legion’s war memorabilia and display of medals. The hall will have tables selling goods, T-shirts and other items. There will be food available for lunch at a reasonable cost. This is all part of Legion Week Celebrations. 

On Wednesday, June 26 the Legion will be hosting a Strawberry Afternoon Tea at 2 p.m. and Friday, June 28 is the Veterans Dinner.
