The elves at St. John’s United Church are all ready for the Christmas Cookie Caper. They have organized a huge selection of their best homemade cookies and other sweet treats for this popular annual event. Upon entry, guests receive a plastic container that can be filled with a choice of delicacies from trays that are replenished regularly. There will be gluten-free options, as well as spirit-filled rumballs, at a separate table.
A filled container makes an ideal hostess gift, a treat for friends or office colleagues, or a time saver for cookie lovers with little time to bake.
It’s on Dec. 14, 9 a.m. to noon, at St. John’s United Church in Davis Bay. Proceeds from this fun event go to St. John’s and the Food Bank.
