Arrowhead

The Arrowhead Clubhouse Society is seeking volunteers to join its board of directors.

If you are a compassionate team player whose skills include effective communication, problem solving, leadership and event planning, please consider joining Arrowhead’s dedicated team.

The Arrowhead Clubhouse in Sechelt is a place where club members who are living with mental illness can meet, have a meal or a shower, use the computer, receive job training, and participate in activities.

Arrowhead is a member of Clubhouse International with over 350 clubhouse members worldwide, developed to support individuals living with mental illness.

The board of directors for 2019-20 will be elected at the AGM on June 25. The Arrowhead board ensures stable funding to operate the clubhouse five days a week. Funding is obtained through grant applications, donations and special events.

Volunteering for Arrowhead, getting to know the clubhouse members, joining in special events, and seeing the progress made by members through the varied programs is a richly rewarding experience.

The society is particularly looking for people with keyboard and organizational, fundraising or accounting skills.
