Why were so many people flocking to the seniors’ centre on such a lovely day?

Why were the tables all dressed up and looking very charming in both the craft room and dining hall?

Why were the bridge players looking so alert?

And why did they leave the centre later in the day clutching new possessions?

The answer is the 7NT Fundraiser held at the Seniors Activity Centre on Sept. 21, an event that included a challenging afternoon of bridge for the active minds of the centre’s bridge players, a delicious lunch (kudos to Alan Barnes and his kitchen assistants) and social and duplicate bridge under the auspices of Faye and Mike McCarthy. Add to this excitement seven auction tables filled with attractive and diverse items to bid on.

The fundraiser committee is very grateful for their many helpers. This fun day was under the skilled direction of Karyn Burney.

The funds raised will be contributed to the seniors’ centre’s Expansion Fund.

The generosity and support of the multi-talented artistic community, the merchants, and the membership provided a wonderful variety of bid items for the bridge players. Thank you to all the donors.
