Seniors Initiative activities for the month of April offer low impact aerobics Mondays, 9:30 to 10 a.m., chair yoga classes, Mondays at Sarah Wray Hall, 11 a.m. to noon, carpet bowling, Wednesdays at both PH and Egmont Halls 1 to 3 p.m., chair yoga classes, Fridays 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the PH Hall. Drop in for activities is $3.

Thursday, April 4 Harbourside Friendship welcomes guest speaker Dietitian Diane Paulis to discuss the New Canada Food Guide. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. at the Hall and lunch is served at noon. Drop in $10. 

Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society AGM is Friday, April 12 at 1 p.m. at the Sarah Wray Hall. Hear a review of last year’s events and what’s to come in 2019. Renew your membership and perhaps volunteer for the board. 

Garden Bay Spring Fair is happening April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sarah Wray Hall. Chat, shop or book a party with consultants from 32 Gifts, Steeped Tea Inc. (loose leaf teas), Epicure, food specialties and Young Living, essential oils and natural products, Bayside Bijoux, Painted Rocks and Tupperware. Discover works of talented local artists. 

Gardeners: as you work away beautifying your gardens, please think of sharing your divisions and put them aside for the Community Club’s fundraiser Plant Sale. As well at this event will be a crafts bazaar sweets and tea, Saturday, April 27 at the PH Hall. Crafters and bakers: tables are just $15. Call 604-989-0851 to book one.
