While we celebrate our marine heritage we must always be vigilant to protect our oceans and waterways. Only by observing, recording and reporting will we combat the rape and pillage going on. We are the front line. The more action we take the more response and support. This past week’s visits from the DFO are a start. Here is the 24-hour hotline number: 1-877-7277 or cell #7277.

Last Saturday a benefit was held for a very special woman of our community Jennifer D’Amour, chef and owner of The Upper Deck Cafe. Jennifer is going through treatment for lymphoma. All of us who know her send our heartfelt, very best wishes. We look forward to seeing you creating magical gourmet delights once again, Chef Jennifer. Thank you to Marilyn, Pender Harbour Blues Society and the wonderful folks who made this event a truly inspirational success.
