Harbourside Friendship Thursday, Aug. 2 invites everyone to come and share a story at the get together starting at 10:30 a.m. at the PH Community Hall. Lunch will be served at noon. Drop in $10.
Seniors Initiative has a new activity in Garden Bay every other Tuesday, chair yoga at Sarah Wray Hall 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Drop in $3. Carpet bowling continues Wednesdays, 1 to 3 p.m., as does chair yoga classes, Fridays 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., both at the PH Hall, $3 drop in.
Pender Harbour Days, the annual celebration of marine heritage, is just a week away, Aug. 3 to 5. Friday, Aug. 3 at 5:30 p.m. is the opening boat parade with classic and modern boats featuring the Pender Harbour Pipe and Drum Band starting off from Millennium Park government dock.
The Pender Harbour Music Society's Coffee House at the School of Music is 8 p.m. Friday with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday has endless activities, exhibitions, races, displays and vendors booths. The day starts off with the Lions Club community breakfast 8 a.m. (Saturday and Sunday) and tops off with a prime rib dinner at the Legion. For schedule, maps and details, visit penderharbourdays.ca
