The Sea to Sky RCMP have recovered a body in the area of Mamquam Falls, according to a release from police.
On April 24, The Squamish Chief was notified via email that the RCMP, with the assistance of Squamish Search and Rescue, recovered a body in the area. As it stands, the RCMP is currently attempting to identify the body and inform the family.
“Sea to Sky RCMP-Squamish are presently working with the BC Coroner’s Service on identification and next of kin notification,” reads the release from Cpl. Brett Urano, a media relations officer.
No other information was released.
The Squamish Chief will update this story when more information becomes available.
