Someone will win $150K as Prince George Hospice Dream Home sells out first round of 50/50 tickets

All 12,000 entries are counted for 10 days ahead of Sept. 25 draw

One lucky person will be $150,000 richer next Friday night.

The 2020 Prince George Hospice Dream Home Lottery’s first of two 50/50 draws officially sold all 12,000 tickets as of last night (Sept. 15).

Online tickets were sold out hours before the in-person purchases were gone.

The winner will be announced Friday, Sept. 25 around 6 p.m.

If you don’t win, the Hospice is hosting a second 50/50 draw, also for $150,000, on Dec. 18, less than a week before unveiling the winner of the 2020 Dream Home on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).

As of Monday (Sept. 14), a little more than 1,200 tickets remain for the $700,000 Nechako View Subdivision property, located at 3955 Larisa Ct.

The chances of winning are one in 10,999.

Residents are still welcome to visit the 3,390 sq-ft home in person Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a limited number of people inside at a time to account for social-distancing protocols.

There are also two other early birds prizes up for grabs ahead of the Dream Home draw.

Fifty additional 50/50 tickets will be won on Oct. 23, while an inflatable boat package, worth $3,550 in value, will be given away on Nov. 20.
