Only five weeks in, the Prince George Hospice Society has already sold more than 50 per cent of its tickets for the 2020 Dream Home.
Out of 10,999 tickets for the home, the Hospice has sold 5,748 with only 5,251 left.
The Dream Home, which is valued at more than $700,000, was built by North Nechako Homes and is located at 3955 Larisa Ct.
The event also marks the fourth year the house has been built in the Nechako View Subdivision, and the 10th year for the lottery itself.
The rancher-style home features five bedrooms plus an office, four bathrooms, five brand-new appliances and about 3,390 sq. ft. of spacious modern living.
Not only are there four early bird draws this year, but because of COVID-19, there will also be two 50/50 raffles, giving the community two chances to walk away with $150,000 in cash for each draw.
The current take home for the first jackpot is $80,725, which is expected to increase significantly until the Sept. 25 draw date.
For the 50/50, the Hospice has sold 6,450 tickets and has 5,542 left.
The second 50/50 draw will start on Sept. 26 once the first has closed with the winner slated to be picked on Dec. 18.
The draw for the Dream Home itself will take place on Dec. 24.
The first Early Bird Draw was held last Friday (July 31), when Barb Osten and Valerie Sinclair walked away with 50 of the 50/50 Raffle Tickets donated by Canadian Tire.
Both Dream Home and 50/50 will be available for sale at the Dream Home location from Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Prince George Hospice Society Office on 1506 Ferry Ave. from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Canadian Tire from Thursday to Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
