Prince George Firefighters are continuing with their service by raising money annually for local causes and community care.

Starting today (Nov. 15), its 2020 Harley Davidson Raffle kicks into high gear, with funds accumulated going directly to the pediatric care unit at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. (UHNBC).

This is the 31st year for the raffle since the detachment started it all in 1988 when they partnered with the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, who decides how that money will be spent accordingly for much-needed equipment.

The firefighters are also hoping to pass a major milestone as they’ve raised more than $950,000 to date, inching closer to the $1 million mark through this raffle alone.

Of course, the grand prize is a brand new 2019 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle.

There are a pair of gift cards as secondary prizes; $500 for second place and $250 for third.

The draw date is set for the afternoon of Mar. 14, 2020 at Prince George’s Harley Davidson dealership on Vance Road and there are 3,500 tickets to be sold.

You can purchase tickets at Costco, the Spirit of the North's office in the lobby of UHNBC or the main Prince George Fire Hall at Seventh Avenue and Dominion Street.
