Stolen vehicles from Unity and Macklin under investigation

Multiple reports regarding the welfare of children were made during the weeks of April 16-29 for the Unity, Wilkie and Macklin RCMP detachments.

RCMP Report – April 16 - 22

Unity Report

RCMP received a report of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.

Police received a report of a child welfare concern. Members transported the youth to their parent’s residence.

RCMP received a complaint of trespassing. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved personal property from a residence.

RCMP received a report of a shop fire near Tramping Lake. Wilkie Fire Department extinguished the fire which was not suspicious in nature.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

There were also four traffic complaints.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members transported the subject of complaint to another residence. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Members issued a 72-hour roadside suspension during a traffic stop.

Police received a complaint of assault causing bodily harm. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a report of a grass fire near Wilkie. Wilkie Fire Department extinguished the fire which was not suspicious in nature.

Members received a complaint of a dog attacking another dog. This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a Child Welfare Act complaint. Members made a referral to Child and Family Services.

Members conducted a curfew check at the request of Community Corrections.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

RCMP received a report of a child alone on the street. Members attended and spoke with the child’s guardian.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

 

April 23 - 29

Unity Report

RCMP received a complaint of theft from an oil site. This matter is still under investigation.

Members are investigating a complaint of theft in Unity.

Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. The vehicle driver sustained minor injuries.

RCMP received a Child Welfare Act complaint. Members made a referral to Child and Family Services.

Police received Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Members acted as mediators in a workplace dispute.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

There were also three traffic complaints and one false alarm.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request from a family member to conduct a wellbeing check.

A 43-year-old male from Delmas was charged with possession of property obtained by crime after members initiated a traffic stop.

Police received a report of an individual walking on the highway north of Wilkie. Members ensured the subject of complaint was transported to the residence of a family member.

RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment. This matter is still under investigation.

Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of Community Corrections.

Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members attended and issued a verbal warning.

Members spoke to an individual regarding a child welfare concern.

A 28-year-old male from North Battleford was charged with break and enter and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime after members received a complaint of a stolen bicycle.

Police received a complaint of an intoxicated individual in public. Members transported the subject of complaint to cells to remain until sober.

RCMP received a noise complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

Members issued a 60-day roadside suspension during a traffic stop.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

A 41-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with assault with a weapon and fail to comply with an undertaking condition after member received a complaint of assault.

There were also four traffic complaints.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a complaint of assault with a weapon. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a suspicious individual near a residence in Macklin. Members spoke to the individual who was transported to another community by a family member.

RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle in the Macklin area. Members patrolled but could not locate the vehicle.

Members received a report of a missing person. The individual was located.

RCMP received a report of a horse by the railway tracks near Primate. Members could not attend due to a priority call.

Police received a request to assist Child and Family Services by attending a residence while workers conducted a child welfare check.
